To celebrate All-Star Weekend 2020, the Nike design team visited the windy city to interview the women of Chicago. Applying insights, interviews and conversations with female creatives, the team pitched back the Jewel Force 1. Making its first debut to the market in 1997, the same year the Chicago Bulls introduced their alternate uniforms of black with red pinstripes, the sneaker tells the story Chicago basketball through details including a pony-hair (bull) heel-tab, nostalgic pinstripes, gold lace dubrae and a jersey-style hangtag. Inside the shoe box you’ll find illustrated tissue paper designed by yours truly.
